Primekey Investments London Ltd is a London property company doing three connected things: buying residential property to hold and let, managing homes on behalf of other landlords, and advising investors on how to build a portfolio that still makes sense in ten years.
Why we are structured the way we are
Primekey is registered under SIC code 68209, which covers letting and operating property the company owns or leases. Lenders read that code as a special purpose vehicle: a company that exists to hold rental property and does nothing else.
We deliberately do not carry code 68100, which covers buying and selling property. Mixing the two tells a lender the company has a trading arm, and that is enough to get a limited company buy-to-let application declined. Keeping the company clean is worth more to us than the flexibility.
For landlords, this has a practical consequence worth stating plainly. We are not in the business of buying and reselling. When we manage your property, we are not a potential buyer sizing up your asset.
